Thanksgiving is right around the corner!! I love decorating for Thanksgiving with art made by my children. In the past we've made "Thankful" tree with brown paper and leaves made from the outline of our hands. Each person wrote down what they are thankful for on their hands. Below is a picture from last year. This year I created a pattern for a fun turkey headband the kids can color and make on Thanksgiving. Click on the link below to download and print.
I also love this idea from Meaningful Mama. This is a terrific way to decorate the kids table or at our house the MAIN table and keep your guests entertained before the big feast. It's also a great creative way to reflect on what you're most thankful for. I can't wait to do this project this year!!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I'm so excited to announce that I will be offering classes this fall through Powell Parks and Recreation!! Kindergarteners will be offered classes on Wednesdays every week with rotating themes every other week. First graders through fifth grade will have two workshops every other week.
Please keep posted to learn more about classes and scheduling. Powell Parks and Recreation will release their fall pamphlet and open registration in August. Stay tuned!! I had so much fun yesterday sharing the joy of art with some adorable kiddos and their wonderful families! I was invited to be part of the Macaroni Kids Summer Fun Party at the Worthington Community Center. The kiddos made fun 3-D Sunflower pictures and explored different mediums with our painting station. I was so impressed with how interested and excited all the children were in creating art. There were lots of terrific young artists and even some talented moms and dads! I loved sharing my passion for art and hearing all the great stories from kids and parents about how art is important in their lives. Here are some fun photos from the day. Keep posted here for more details about upcoming classes and events!!! Okay - so we've all planned and attended parties, but do you recall one that really sticks out in your head as a "WOW" party?? That's what Little Van Gogh Art School can provide - the "WOW" in your next party!
You choose a theme and I will design a party with an art activity that is influenced by your theme. Forget silly goodie bags with unforgettable trinkets that parents throw away - your guests will go home with a special personalized art piece! I will create age appropriate activities and every guest will receive hands on instructions. The sky is the limit!! We do not restrict our parties to just children. I am more than happy to develop a fun party for the special teenager or adult in your life. We can work with any theme and any age group! The ultimate goal is for everyone to have fun, make memories, perhaps gain some new art skills, and they get to take home an original art piece! Contact me today and let's get creating! Welcome to the Little Van Gogh Art School website! I'm excited that you are here! Please keep checking back to learn more about classes and other opportunities. Art is not a luxury, it's a necessity and should be available to everyone. I can't wait to get classes scheduled and start sharing my love and passion with you and your children.
